Brave: ad blockers for the win!

Are you tired of trying to watch longer videos on YouTube and getting interrupted by the ads? Or have you tried to open an article and gave up, because everytime you try to scroll a bit, another pop up ad shows up interrupting you? If you have had any of these situations happening to you, say no more.

A few days ago, while scrolling on Facebook, I came across an ad (obviously!) that mentioned one browser that would pay you to see ads. It was Brave. Brave seems to have a system that will send a notification whenever they have an ad ready for you and you'll be able to switch some tokens for money (bitcoins or something similar). Maybe I'm too dumb, but the system seems to be a lot more complicated and you'll have to get an account in a money trade system that'll give you a wallet for your money. But this isn't what I was writing about. Brave also has an integrated ad blocker, that actually works and is for free.

If you're trying to see a longer video, as I have already written, or to read an article and you really don't want to see ads, then this is the right choice for you. I'm not getting paid, nor sponsored by Brave (that's something to think about!), but I'm writing out of experience. A few days ago, I was trying to see a funny video of Halloween pranks. It only lasted 30 minutes and in the first 10, YouTube shoved approximately 20 ads on my face. I have uninstalled the app from my mobile and opened it on Brave and all the ads have vanished.

Of course, if you are depending of ads to get an income and if people start going towards these kinda browsers (I'm quite sure that Brave isn't the only one), you'll see that income reduced to zero. But when your experience is optimized and you longer get annoyed but some ridiculous ads, you'll understand why we switch Chrome for browsers like Brave.

If you ever try it out after reading this post, please remember to come here and give me your feedback.
